A very faint perfume Siris - nothing to shout about though!

I miss Woolies. I used to be able to afford to buy my mum plants when I was about 12 as they were so reasonable.

I think Hywel has a Rose from Woolies too!

Gorgous colour. Yes, I think I miss Ww'ths too. I can remember the old stores with the big counters & the sales assistants standing in the middle of them ( that's going back a bit, everything for 6p). :-)

Thinking about it, we've lost most of the shops I grew up with. (That dates me!)

I think most of us can relate to that Anget. I think you're probably right Shirley. At least your beautiful rose reminds you of better 'shops'

Julia, I think the closure of some charity shops in towns tells you just how much the high street is dying. We have a large ex. Bentalls/Beales department store in Worthing now being converted into 'seaside apartments'! The Debenhams store across from it has now closed permanently . . . :o(

Southport is suffering much the same Shirley. The closure of Debenhams and Beales was the death knell for so many other shops. Thankfully I heard the other day that Southport has won a lottery grant towards regeneration. I hope they begin soon before things get so bad it's too late.

Julia, I rarely shop on-line, certainly not for clothing as I like to see what I'm buying! I believe Bognor Regis will soon be undergoing a huge regeneration programme. It certainly needs it . . . :o(
