Strawberries fresh from the garden

How lovely to be picking your own strawberries already. I bet they are lovely and sweet too.

Me too Klahanie. The last lot I bought from a certain supermarket were turning within minutes of being washed.

Thanks it's only a small 6 x10 ft patch but gives us plenty of strawberries the problem is they need picking and eating everyday,

Oh,lucky you Amy , and such a good crop already ! We love Strawberries,so we might sell up ,and come to live near you ! Lol ..Luckily,all the ones we have bought,have been beautiful ,so it must be a good year for the English and Scottish ones.I don't buy till they are on sale,and I'm never disappointed. :o) .I'll bring more Cream .Lol. x

I have two plants on the balcony & they have a few fruits on them 😃

Enjoy them David they taste so much better homegrown .

One year, a few years ago, my son gave me a couple of hanging baskets of strawberries. They did quote well & we managed to get quite a few strawberries but unfortunately the plants didn't survive the winter on the balcony. 😞

The flowers are very pretty on the two plants I got this year,; one is light pink while the other is a very deep pink. Getting fruit from them is almost a bonus! 😃

It is David especially with the birds always on the lookout for a tasty morsel as we have found out ...

Perhaps I'm fortunate but the birds have left mine alone - for the moment at least! 😂
