This red coloured petunia is supposed to be a climber..given to me by a patient…not sure if it is an actual climber..still waiting. However, it’s a pretty colour.
My fern has been rejuvenated!!!! Thought it was struggling, but has had a second wind so to speak!

Yes I agree Kate! Never heard of a climbing petunia!

Kate, I was so intrigued by the thought of a climbing Petunia that I looked on-line to find one named Tidal Wave.
Plant climbing petunias in a sunny position with shelter from strong winds, in any light, well drained soil. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on. Feed and water petunia plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods.
Well, every day's a school day as the saying goes! I do hope it grows well for you ... :o)

That’s interesting Shirley, I have bought Petunia Tidal Wave from Sarah Raven for the last two years. It is a very pale pink … some virtually white, is well-behaved, doesn’t need dead-heading, but is only 6” high!

Sheila, Rose, I am amazed too! Or I shall be! The patient has one in a pot, climbing nicely up and around a little metal climbing frame…I just wonder if I am doing something wrong? Or waiting on a miracle! ☺️

Oh, thanks Shirley! That’s great to hear! Thank you for researching. I shall heed your advice and keep my fingers crossed that it will start to climb. It does get sunshine and it’s in a wind free area too. Thanks again and yes…every day is definitely a school day! It’s good to learn something new. ☺️😉

Sheila, I gave up on Petunias after finding them so sticky when they needed dead-heading ... yuk!
Kate, I am still surprised at the idea of a climbing Petunia, ha ha!

Shirley, I agree … that’s one of the reasons I like Petunia Tidal Wave because it doesn’t need dead-heading!

Sheila, now that does sound the perfect Petunia! Raining here, so no gardening for me today ... :o(

It was only wet first thing today, so we have been for a walk, and I did 20 minutes dead-heading and taking cuttings. But now thunder is rumbling …!

I have just seen some photos of flash flooding in parts of London . . . not what I expected to see at the end of July!
