Whispy Helichrysum italicum

Whispy Helichrysum italicum

This is an ornamental beauty but I do not like it's smell.
I have it growing in "Sunvalley's" herb garden. Propagates from cuttings very easily. It likes dry conditions and lots of sun.
Its potent aroma is lost in cooking so it is not very often used in culinary dishes. . Leaves look like a cross between lavender and rosemary. Flowers can be used to make herbal tea. Makes a nice garnish too.

It's also a natural pest repellent and my deer hate it.

Note that it is NOT Murraya koenigii whose leaves are used in curries.

Gorgeous colours together, Klahanie, and alliums in the background? It does remind me of southernwood, another sun loving herb with a pungent smell.
