Watsonia 'Apricot' (Watsonia pillansii)

Apricot colour of W. pillansii in back garden. It has come through 6Winters but it does get fleeced in winter. I have to cut out the dead brown leaves in Spring when i un-fleece it.

This is the only variety Ive managed to keep going. I dare not disturb it to find out if it is cormous. The 2 corms i have, a white and a pink have never come to anything, i trear those like Gladiolus.

A really gorgeous apricot!!!! Lovely flowers on this one, Sue. Not one I’m familiar with.

I am the opposite of you, Siris. I tried Watsonia in a variety of colors, and it was practically invasive. It multiplied so fast that the extras went into the trash. It is a nice flower, but too much trouble.

All my tender plants need a lot of looking after, bordering on 'too much trouble" but i would miss them if I lost any more.

Thank you Paul. It has pretty lilac anthers which contrast with the peachy colour.
