Planted last year....very healthy rose with strong fragrance . It's about the only healthy plant I have in the garden this year!

It is quite disheartening at times but it has just been a strange and difficult year I think.
I planted up 6 new yellow violas and a thyme last weekend. I put the pot out on Wednesday. On Friday morning slugs had eaten 4 of the 6 violas! I should have known that would happen! For the first time ever, slugs also ate many of my sweet peas! Lots of plants have holes in them..........
As I said ' a strange and difficult year!!'

We don't use chemicals, exceptpellets in the greenhouse but nothing has deterred the menace. What with that and the weather.. Resilience is really needed after a year like this one.

It’s a really lovely colour and shape, Julia. I’m feeling very similar about the garden…although I’m out there doing my usual gardening stuff…I think the weather has been very up and down…my flowering plants haven’t the same flowering longevity either…
I think covid fatigue has ‘bitten’ us all sadly….

I know how you feel! This looks good, though.
