Peacock orchid ( Acidanthera )

These bulbs need a long, hot growing season to bloom reliably. I have found growing Acidanthera in containers is the way to go, as container soil heats up much faster in spring .

Very pretty, I have them this year for the first time mine are just about to flower hope they look as good as yours.

Yours is excellent, mine in a large pot, not flowering, unfortunately not in a really sunny spot, nearly everything wants the limited full sun positions in my enclosed garden.

We had unusually hot summer this year and lots of sun, we'll see if they will produce any flowers next year. Post the picture Drc726 when in full bloom. I know you will love them. But ..... you have so many lovely plants in your garden already.
