I bought this tiny plant (6") recently and told My OH not to expect a cup of tea from it very soon. It was expensive (for the size of it) but cute. Will re-pot in nicer container and leave in the greenhouse for couple of years.
Anybody grows this camellia?

I've never seen this for sale here. I hope it produces lots of leaves for you :)

I know there is a tea growing area in Cornwall so they will grow in some areas of the UK.
Just imagine when you get your first cuppa from it.

A very beautiful flower, Klahanie..hopefully you’ll replant it and you’ll have lots of lovely white blooms with that gorgeous long and bright yellow stamen..

Very interesting Klahanie.. I have a camelia, but the ornamental type with double red flowers.
Will be good to keep tabs on it and see how it grows for you and how soon you can dry a few leaves for a cuppa!
