Lots of Sparrows about.

Hi Kate, Anget and Bloomer, We have quite a few Sparrows around here and there are a couple of Hawthorn hedges they like to rest in during the day. Thanks for your kind comments. I get pellets via the internet. They don't always have much in the shops. I'm going to put my other bird feeder pole up soon that I can hang different things on like the nut feeder and suet container. I place it near the kitchen window so I can see the birds close up and if it does snow I haven't got to go right up the garden to the bird table.

Hi Linda,we have had lots of Sparrows this year too,and I counted at least 9 in each visit ! We also have three large Hawthorn trees,among other varieties, behind the fence,so it's ideal for all our welcome visitors. At the moment ,we only have Sunflower hearts in a feeder,on the Pole,which the Goldfinches,Tit families and Robin love.
The Fat balls will be going in another Feeder ,as the weather gets colder.. Suet pellets go on a wall,and under a shrub for the Ground feeding birds, so that's about all of them sorted !
We have a good view of ours,through Patio Doors,and Conservatory, so no need to move from the Sofa :o) Better than TV sometimes :o)

That's really lovely to hear Bloomer. Sparrows are such cheery little birds. We've started to get the Robin visiting again. He sits on the weed in the pond and has a bath.
By the way, my Greg's stories are now on Kindle if you know anyone who would like to read them.

Sadly I daren't put anything out for the birds as we got a furry visitor even though I hadn't put anything on the ground :-((
On a brighter note, we are surrounded by woodland, so I still see lots of different birds.
