Doing some preparation before I start planting. Decided for now to use perennials from my garden and will supplement in spring with some more bought ones. Got DA rose Vanessa Bell as centre piece- present from hubby for 22nd wedding anniversary.

Looking good. I bought 'Vanessa Bell' last Autumn. It's growing well in a pot and has the open blooms that I prefer. It will be interesting to see how well it performs. Happy Anniversary!

Thank you. Have added some photo's of planted up new patio border with Vanessa Bell as the centre piece. For some reason can not do a blog with photo's of patio before, during and finally finished.

Great - its looking much better already! What a lovely rose - I looked it up and found its fragrance is green tea and honey - delicious!
