Is it a Banksia Balc? I remember seeing a small rose tree in a country garden a few years ago and it was spectacular! Very late spring flowering, a real beauty..:)

Janey, I don't know as it was grown from seeds my brother bought from China (hence my calling it "Chinese rose"!) & shared with me but his never germinated. Even so my only seed took 3-4 years before it flowered for the first time! (Almost as bad as the Amaryllis I grew from seeds as well!)

I seem to remember Amy told me the name of a rose she thought it might be, only I never did write it down. 😞 I did do a search for it & I remember that on Gardener's World it was reviewed by "our Alan", quite favourably!
