Viola hederacea (For my File)

Oh what a pretty little flower! Gorgeous colours.I'm liking the leaf shape too. Does this have a pleasant scent, Sue?

Kate, I never got down to sniffing this Viola when it was warm weather and now its cold and wet I cannot detect any scent. I am growing for it's prettyness.

And very pretty it is too!

It flowers for a long time, mine is still going too.

I've got one in a hanging basket and the runners hang down like a curtain and the flowers look very pretty on the hanging runners

Thats a good idea, Hywel, but mine has no runners, just a nice compact clump

Mine didn't have runners at first. They only starter growing when I put it in a hanging basket.
