Dahlia aff purpusii

Some species dahlias are hardier than the highly bred ones. This plant has its tubers right on the surface of the soil, so I protected it though last winter with a dry mulch. It started flowering this year on 3rd June and despite two air frosts, shows no sign of stopping any time soon
