Closer,closer... (Plumeria)

It might be a swirl of red..still not sure. Temperatures here are now mid to upper 60's ( about 19C?) so the race is still on for a full bloom.

It’s a beauty, Stan. What a really attractive shape and colour…I’m liking the effect with the backdrop of the white wood too.

Thanks Kate. Its been a much faster grower than my old Celadine. Funny how the same species has some kind of mixed DNA that these Plumeria grow pretty well here in a mild summer climate. That Celadine has been growing in pots since 1998 and is like a large Bonsai.

Nights are very cool now, about 8C? Something like that. It appears that it has a white throat and violet petals. But the cool is preventing the flowers to reaching full size so far.
I noticed with the Pachypodium last year I was ready to say the flowers do not reach full size...but they kept growing and finally did. Only they did that in June. November is not going to get much warmer then 22C,71f the rest of the way.
November to December here in the SF bay area is the biggest temperature drop off of the year by far by month. In socal where Andy is...Dec-Feb are all pretty much the same 22c with even the occasional Santa Ana hot desert winds pushing temps to near 32C? Yes,that never happens here in the bay area. So even if we have no frost or a freeze..plants get a chill!
