Eranthis pinnatifida

Eranthis pinnatifida (Eranthis pinnatifida)

As we're a bit short on plant photos at present, here's another in flower here. This native of Japan is related to winter aconites. It's absolutely tiny so needs to be grown in a container (mine's in a trough) as it would get lost in the garden

That is a pretty little thing. So glad you are sharing your lovely flowers. I have lots poking through but very little in flower yet.

It certainly is a pretty little flower, love the colours too.

Isn't that a little beauty? Does it have its leaves later on?
I've never succeeded with even the ordinary yellow ones...

I found the secret to the yellow ones is to buy a pot in flower even though expensive and plant those. Though I often pick them up cheaper after flowering but still in leaf. The bulbs once dry rarely come good for me.

Sbg - the other option is to buy them 'in the green' which is how I got mine. I buy from https://eurobulbs.co.uk/ but it's a bit early for them yet

Thats what I meant by after flowering but yes you can by more in bulk that way. That company is really good. I have bought from them before.
