Primroses at last!

Primroses at last!

I had to cover this raised bed with frames as the fox is still getting in and causing damage by digging huge holes everywhere!

Thanks Klahanie!
Yes it is Kate! It is a b...nuisance!
Thanks Chris! I love the primroses!
Yes it is Shirley! I have tried everything to deter it! Now the garden is covered in upturned pots , canes and rose prunings and it even manages to move it all out the way so he can still dig! Grrr!

Rose, what a shame for you. I have just been reading up about urban Foxes and the problems they can cause in gardens and lawns. Apart from alarms that emit high pitched sounds and/or placing repellants containing smells they don't like, it seems there's not much can be done.

Do they venture in nearby gardens too?

I used to find Fox poo on the gravel in the front garden, not seen any for ages, thank goodness!

I have tried everything Shirley and eventually the foxes usually gets used to whatever I have put out!
Plus and according to the sellers I bought two red eyes which are solar and come on in the dark looking like an animal is there.
This worked the longest , but now they are used to this too!
They normally run into most gardens, but the majority round here have gravel gardens, so there is no wonder they like mine!

Ooh, Rose, those red eyes sound scary to me, ha, ha!

I really hope the Fox tires of your garden soon ...

Well Shirley, it doesn't seem to scare the fox anymore! I think he has got used to it!
Apparently the best deterrant is men's urine! Someone told me that her father used to put it in a spray bottle and spray it round the edges of the garden and was never troubled by foxes after that!
So, you know what I am going to do now Shirley , don't you ! Haha!
Watch this space!

Rose, our village football pitch was becoming home to a couple of Foxes some years ago, so the whole team urinated around the goals as that's where the problem was. Result, nothing for a month, then the Foxes returned!

Your OH is going to think you've lost the plot . . . :o)
