Bumble on lonicera.

Bumble on lonicera.

When outside I was pleased to hear the steady hum of bees.
This lady was enjoying the winter-flowering honeysuckle which we grow just for them as it's a scruffy plant which is supposed to be scented but I can't smell a thing from this one!
You may have to stare hard to make her out - she is well camouflaged.

Anget, I have this plant as well and it took me years to identify it. I have it in the place I hardly go to but smell it when I am in the vicinity. Mine has very strong perfume. It was planted there before we moved in and it is looking rather poorly. My garden hose does not reach that spot and we have very dry summers. It is in complete shade (in the forested area) but miraculously it is surviving.
I do see your bee. Have not seen any around here yet.

Klahanie, we had one in an earlier house that was very strongly scented. This is right on the edge of the path and even when I lean in the scent is hardly detectable! How lovely that your is strongly scented. I loved the smell of it.

Thanks, SBG. She was one of many out and about. It was so warm here I had to take off my jumper!

Spotted her!!! Yes, it's lovely to see and hear the bees again in the garden...it all feels very much like winter is behind us 🤞
