She is so much like our cat Minnie who is not with us now. I do like your chimney pot Kate.I have three different ones , one the same as yours. Years ago my daughter in law didn't have room for them so gave them to us when we lived in Willow Cottage.

Thank you, Sue! I’m pleased you like this corner of the back garden! The chimney pot was positioned elsewhere until recently. I’m liking it situated there amid all the verdant shrubbery, as Eve seems to also.
Amy we do get birds nesting in the Laurel, the shrubbery in front of her we usually have little birds hopping around picking up some nuts that have dropped from the feeder..or little insects on the floor.
Rose, I do remember you talking fondly of Minnie before, it must bring back memories for you. Hoping that’s a good thing and it’s not too sad…we have another 2 chimney pots too - snap! It’s always nice to get gifted one though!

You are so right Kate! Even though it is 8 years since Minnie and her twin brother have gone, we do have happy memories! Minnie was such an accident prone cat, always doing what she shouldn't!
One day at Willow cottage she decided to climb the big scots pine and fell into the pond below! She wasn't hurt, but very wet and looking very sorry for herself!
Another time, when very little, climbed on to the summer house roof and cried as she couldn't get down. Rick had to climb up the ladders to try and reach for her. I had visions of him falling!

Thank you for telling me about Minnie. I loved hearing about her antics and adventures, Rose. Bless her, she does sound like Eve as well as resembling her too! Such a lovely little character - you’ll cherish the memories of her as well as her brother.
