It was believed 66 Roman centurion skeletons were discovered buried in the Talbot Inn car park.

I was puzzled about this Kate I had to look it up as we have a Caister near us on the coast which also has the remains of an old fort , I couldn't understand why I hadn't seen this Plaque or the museum .. Lol .. funny to have two places with similar connections ..

Hi Amy, I think your Caistor is Caister -on -sea? I’m thinking the Romans were taken by the name!!!😁
It’s definitely very interesting that both have similarities, isn’t it! I’m back there tomorrow morning - first day back in 12 days after being on holiday.
