Clematis 'Miss Bateman'

This is a large flowered, robust clematis, about 9'....... quite pretty.
Named after Catharine Bateman, the daughter of orchid specialist James Bateman.
Received The Royal Horticultural Society, Award of Garden Merit (AGM) in 1993.
Raised by Charles Noble ( UK ) and introduced in 1869
Parentage Fortunei x Standishii
Group 2

She is a really pretty Clematis ... today down here on the South coast it has turned much cooler ... :o(

There was a small family gathering not far from us, Klahanie, which I passed when I went for a walk to my local pond, but not one where I knew anyone. I think they were few and far between here …

This is beautiful ,I had one on my previous garden .
That was a shame Sheila it was crazy in our area parties ,fireworks, beacons lit an amazing atmosphere everywhere .

So sorry to hear you're still being rained on, Klahanie. But this is a stunner of a clematis. I really like the pale green stripes on it and full of flower.
