Very good photo of an insect that goes way back in time...

I love this group of insects. As you say they go back to the coal deposition times 360 million yrs give or take.
glad ours are smaller, some back then had 70cm [ 27 inches] wingspans. yikes!

BIG isn't it. I see they found the largest dinosaur on the I.O.Wight. I found one or two sea urchin fossils along the beach when we lived there, and part of a dinosaur bone.

yep and Rutland water have the largest complete ichthyosaur fossil. Went to a lecture about it a few weeks ago when i was visiting Toria at uni.

Amazing what they are finding now. Love to look back in time and actually se all the dinosaurs but I'd have to be HIDDEN!!!! The T-rex and the velociraptors are my favourites.
