Not a great deal of colour but much greener after rain showers.

We have dried leaves falling from a large Eucalyptus tree on the verge along our road ... never known them to fall in early August!

Julia, I do wear a sunhat when gardening, dislike it, but needs must!
Those bulbs will give you some lovely flowers later in the year.
I have definitely lost a Lavender plant to the drought ... it will be pulled out later today ... :o(

Oh I love a hat, ladies - a big floppy one too! Any chance I get 😊
It’s been hot again today here, although a few degrees ‘cooler’ than the south coast counties..
I’m off with a trapped nerve in my neck and shoulder, so not able to make the most of it! Rest and more rest.
Julia has given me some very helpful advice too - thank you Julia 🤗
I wish I hadn’t bought and planted some things just before the heatwave in July! They are struggling, I was foolish.
I’m concentrating on acers too, plus tree ferns and newish rockery plants..
My lavender has struggled..I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong? I’ve never had problems before. I have watered - not overly watered -but it must be the heat?

Lovely ... I dream of rain! Hampshire and the Isle of Wight have enforced a hosepipe ban from today and I feel sure we will be next. My two Hydrangeas are having the 'grey water' daily ... :o)
