Fuchsia 'Beacon' flowering on balcony 30th September 2022

Thank you, Lindak! 👍😀 Yes, you right, the Fuchsia 'Beacon' has flowered very well but it got a bad infestation of red spider mite that nearly put an end to it ! I had to prune it back by at least a third to save it! Fortunately it coincided with the end of the heatwave & the lowering of temps otherwise I would surly have lost it!

Glad to hear that you saved the plant Balcony, although it will probably spring back into action ok next year.

Thanks again, Lindak! I think cutting it back & the change in temps are what saved it! If the infestation had caused all the leaves to fall off it might not have recovered.

Next year if you mist or spray the foliage with water now and again it will deter the red spider mite as they won't like that. It's because it's been such a dry year Balcony.

Love the pansies at the back Balcony. The fuchsia looks as though it has flowered well.
