My croton had a set back the first week of April. It wilted severely for unknown many hours during a horrible heat wave. I watered it well, but it still lost 10 percent of its leaves. Now, it’s barely noticeable after a very hot, humid summer in San Diego. Photo taken Oct. 27, 2022.

Unfortunately, it was taken in the evening and it’s a dark pic.
I’m so happy it recovered from that day of sitting in full sun, unwatered and wilted at 100 degrees (38 c)! My crotons do not tolerate drought at all. They need water almost every day, all year (except when it’s raining).
