These berries are very interesting as they start pale pink and do not ripe at the same speed,...so there is a combination of pink and blue most of the time. Eventually, they all turn this dark blue.

Sites and books say it is deer resistant but you know deer, they don't know how to read. I will have to wait until spring to find out.

Just planted a viburnum opulus xanthocarpum yesterday where the large birch was taken down. Hoping it will grow tall and fill the space. Yellow berries on that one. Good luck withthe deer, Klahanie.

I had a V. Nudum Pink Beauty, but after a few years of no berries I read up and found out I needed a pollinator. So it came out as I don’t have room for another one. But they are gorgeous shrubs. The shiny leaves and gorgeous autumn colours. Really nice! I do love Viburnums!

The berries do look lush. Deer may not be too fussed, but, other wildlife may find them tasty?
