One of my hybrids. This is a small Gladiolus and grows during the winter.

Being frost free, I am able to grow a wide range of Gladiolus species, so I have flowers all year round.

Wonderful ... so different to the UK. We have just driven along by the seafront to Worthing where the English Channel is very rough and the Cordylines are all wrapped up in fleece for Winter ... :o)

The pod parent, G. huttonii looks a lot like this, except only the bottom 3 petals have yellow and this has 5 yellow with one all red. The pollen parent is cream colored.
