A pheasant used to visit in our old garden, and he banged his beak on the greenhouse glass thinking his reflection was a rival!

Hi Sheila, We saw this pheasant sitting on bales of straw in the fields up the road and he was very noisy with his rasping voice.

He's a fine fellow. That noise is very startling if you don't notice them first!

Yes it is Ange and it carries a long way too. Perhaps his partner was on a nest nearby.

I do like to see them. However, it's avoiding them when they run out in front of you as you drive through the countryside...fortunately I seem to know which areas they frequent. I am on high alert!
