This shrimp plant was planted on Christmas Day in this new area. It blooms all year here in San Diego. The tomato plant popped up just before Christmas on it own, now it has tomatoes. Photo take April 30, 2023.

Shrimp plant is an easy low-maintenance plant which grows to 4 or 5 ft tall here. It blooms all year so it looks good all the time.
It’s funny how the tomato plants which pop up do better than garden shop plants.

I think I had one of these as a houseplant years ago.. We had a rash of tomato seedlings pop up in our borders last year, I think from fruit put into the compst bin, but they appeared too late to ripen fruit, sadly. I must say they looked in better condition than any I have ever tried to grow from shop bought seed!
