Loropetalum chinense 'Ruby Snow'

Lovely Shirley. First time I’ve seen one with white flowers, it’s so pretty. Mine have deep pink flowers, and we just brought them out of the greenhouse today.

I too have not seen a white flowered variety. My red one was severly frosted over last winter but is still alive. It lives in the border, but gets fleeced overwinter

This was bought as an impulse buy, a shrub I knew nothing about! I didn't know other varieties have pink flowers.

I'm pleased it's blossomed for you, Shirley. It's a pretty one too. I, too, don't know this one. It's nice to try new plants though and watch them develop.

That's nice, I've never seen a white one.

How strange that I was attracted to this one, with the white flowers, while looking for something else!

A lovely one Shirley. That reminds me I must move mine, a dark leafed, magenta flowered one, it's been out all through winter and isn't looking too happy!

Janey, mine was put in the greenhouse over Winter, but that was more to save the pot from cracking! I hope your plant perks up.

Karen, it does! I have taken it out of the pot, topped up with some fresh compost and brought the soil level up, so it has had some TLC.

I've potted it up and the flowers are looking much brighter now, I will make sure I look after it when winter comes..:)
