I couldn't resist this: hydrangea macroph. Royalty series: 'Black Knight'. The very dark colour of the flowers was irresistible, although the plant was rather scruffy.
We have a Nursery a few miles from us that offers an amazing range of plants, often unusual, but, oh, how I wish they would look after them better! Today, rack upon rack of wilting plants, completely dried out.
It must cost them thousands...
(Please excuse the cat beds!)

Thank you, both.

How odd that the nursery aren't taking good care of their plants. That looks a lovely specimen though.

An interesting addition, Ange. I've been annoyed by some shops not watering plants or looking after them. They look like they're withering and gasping! Usually it's the supermarkets.

Glad you like, Shirley.
We went back for compost yesterday, Kate. The waste is just shocking.

Our local Sains..... supermarket should be barred from having plants delivered ... there are no areas for them to be watered so they slowly perish ... the manager was not interested when I commented on the waste!
