Osmanthus with its curly new growth!

Julia, we have one at each end of our front garden wall and I pointed out the new red growth to Michael today. He doesn't see red (colour blind) just a darker shade of green ... :o(

Looks like an extra terrestrial ;-)

Julia, yes he does, but reds just appear darker, more brown or dark green and yellow is the clearest colour for him. We always marvel at the fact that he was a football referee for years ... easy to tell a red card from a yellow! I have been known to say "You're not wearing those clothes together, are you?"

I can almost see a face on your shrub.
