I think it must be water. The sprinkler comes on for half an hour every day to do the raised border. It’s an insurance for when we go away.

Karen, am I right in thinking you had made a little walkway behind this border ages ago? It looks lovely now.

Yes Shirley! It’s still accessible. The secret bench is just visible. The Acer is in the way atm, but as it grows the branches will get higher and make it easier to get past again.
