Clematis 'Blue Angel'

The large white-flowered early clematis 'Gillian Blades' has never failed for me, Klahanie. She might be worth a try. I picked her up for a few £'s in the supermarket.

I do, Meadow, but not so much luck with the large-flowered types. Most of mine are viticellas. Some of these flower earlier than others.

Lovely ... I have lost too many over the years ... clearly don't have the 'knack'!

Sorry to hear that, Shirley. Some of mine are too exuberant for the space allotted to them. I should have been more diligent in checking sizes before planting.

A very pretty one, Ange. I do like the subtle colour too. Lovely to see an abundance of blooms.
