Usually the Mangoes are done by now. If it wasn't for family that like them green and sour the fruit might have lasted until November or later. A cool summer this year.

I had to tell the family I reserve the largest pair on the tree!...they eat them faster than they ripen. I just can't eat them sour.

Stan,
Yes, very good crop this year for such an unusual weather year.

I'd prefer them coloured up and ripened, Stan. Delicious! Hope you'll be enjoying them, I certainly would!

The runts ripened first. Funny you would never buy them Kate, right? But fresh off the tree and sweet as can be so I pick them. One of those perks of home grown..looks don't matter-ha.
Of course the big ones are almost ready....

Kate,
I prefer my mango very sweet, also.
Stan,
I bet you love June plums (Spondias dulcis). I see them around here all the time. They’re ripening up here in SD now.

Not familiar with that one but googling I see that with some extra watering we might be able to grow it in the bay area. Hardy to z9.

It’s pretty hardy. It’s still considered a tropical semi or briefly deciduous shrub or small tree. It’s very popular in the Asian community.
