Last year I lost far too many shrubs with the low temperatures,so have 'taken the bull by its horns' as you say and fleeced up the more vulnerable and recently planted ones. 6 in all .Can only cross my fingers Apparently the temperatures are dropping quite considerably this weekend.

Julia, you are thinking ahead! I am disillusioned with the weather forecasts from the BBC as they always seem so wrong! One local weather station forecasts 8 degrees on the weekend nights, while they say 4 degrees. Oh well, no frosts either way ... :o)
