My purple firesticks is putting out lots of flower spikes right now (which is 2 months earlier than normal). It should have a good bloom by Christmas. Photo taken November 20, 2023.

Very dainty flower for such a big-leafed plant Delonix. It seems to me that everything is flowering at unusually different times now with climate change.....

This is just the beginning of the bud, the bud grows 18 inches (45 cm) long before it starts flowering.

Yes, you’re correct. I have several plants flowering now, that typically bloom later.
