Anthurium ‘Lazarz’

The Realization Gardens have 4 or 5 of these pretty rare hybrid Anthurium. I’m guessing they’ve been there for years. I purchased one in 2002 and it’s the easiest Anthurium to grow outside here in San Diego, CA. It’s tough as nails. Photo taken February 23, 2024.

It’s a very beautifully plant! And so easy to grow.

The “bird nest” varieties grow extremely large. They tend to be a little tougher. Some of these bird nest species (A. decipiens) have leaves more than 8 ft (2.5 m) long and half that size as a width. They truly are gigantic!
