There’s several of these plants growing in the ground at The Realization Gardens in Encinitas, CA. I was surprised they were growing so well outside, as it’s an extremely tropical plant. Photo taken February 23, 2024.

Ange2,
Yeah, these pink and red Algaonemas are very popular here. The silver, white and green are still very common, also.

Klahanie,
I noticed they had them in pot buried in the ground. This pic was taken in winter, so I’m not sure when they were planted.

Would be interesting to know, I guess the pot adds some protection.
It's such an attractive plant, love the colours/markings too.

It is growing right above the Pacific Ocean, and it really doesn’t get cold there. So, it could be perfectly hardy there. Typically, it’s 50’s at night and 60’s to 70’s during the daytime in winter.
Yes, it’s a beautiful variety of Algaonema! There’s some very interesting varieties out of Asia these days. Aroids are the craze world wide now.

It's an attractive plant. The colouring is appealing. I have a couple as houseplants but they have white markings.
