Lilac 'Josee'

Such a pretty one, Ange. Ours succumbed sadly, due to being moved..a couple of years ago.

It's dainty, I agree, Kate, but has proved to be underwhelming here.

I removed a Lilac some years ago as I got fed up digging out the suckers ... :o(

I have this one too, love it especially for scent of course :-)

I'm not sure this suckers, Shirley, as it's a small variety.

I think yours performs better than mine does by the sound of it, D'lily. Also because we're on a hill we don't get much scent off it because it gets blowy :-(

Ahh that's a shame, yeah mine seems happy :-))
