My croton thinks it’s in Miami, Florida. It’s growing like crazy in the summer heat. Photo taken July 2024.

Lovely to see your plants growing so vigorously! The weather has been quite hot, for the UK at least, the last few days but it will come to an end with a crash on Thursday as we are forecast possible thunderstorms! Today we got up to 28C, tomorrow it may well reach 30C here according to the weather forecast!

This croton has been in this same spot since 2010. It does very well there.
27 degrees c is a cool day here lately. 😂
We’ve had some extremely humid 96 degrees f (36 degrees c) days. Today was a nice, comfortable 87 degrees (30.5 c)

Balcony,
All the plants are growing very well in high humidity and heat over the last month or so. It’ll be comfortable for the next few day (86 degrees f or 30 degrees c) then the strong monsoonal flow will bring very hot and humid back. Yuck!

Though our temps can't compare with your the UK is currently experiencing a heatwave. At present here we have 29C but in our kitchen with no source of heat for the last few hours we have 31C. That's just caused by the heat of the sun entering the kitchen! I don't know the humidity levels but it feels very sticky & close. Tomorrow the forecast is for thunderstorms - but we don't expect to see one here! 🙁

I’m so sorry to that you’re experiencing such hot temps in your house. I know 31 degrees c is pretty hot for indoors. Do you have central ac in your house?

We didn't have any thunderstorms here & the heatwave is over again. The temps here reached a max of 29C but in the kitchen it has reached up to 31C! And no, we don't have AC. In our living room temps can get as high as 27+C! We have to make do with a rotating fan to push the warm air around & give us a passing sensation of a fresh breeze every time the fan blows in our direction for a few seconds!
In our living room we have curtains from ceiling to floor. Each curtain is double with the inner one being thermal. They are closed the majority of the day to keep as much light out as possible- not so much because of the heat or cold but because my wife has lots of big floaters in her eyes & bright light makes it very difficult for her to see properly as the floaters obstruct her vision.
She has to wear sunglasses every time she wants to go into the kitchen as it's so much brighter than the living room!

I remember you posting before, it really is an attractive plant.
We're having a 'hot' spell of recent. Lovely 27 degrees, hoping it lasts a while!
