Flowers all over the place but love the colour

Hi Sheila I have always gone by cutting back by half in the autumn then cut back in spring to a framework or down to about a foot high I think, this had quite a big trunk on it which had rotted this year and big chunks of it broke away so not sure how it will be next spring, it's pretty old
