Thank you. I think I’ll keep growing the strawbs as Niamh loves eating them. But I shan’t try tomatoes (“she says this every year!” ) again because the weather is just too unpredictable. The ones that are ripening are now splitting. I’ve had a few, but honestly, the ones I buy in the shops taste a lot better. And my courgettes have been rubbish too. They just won’t grow. They get to the size of my finger and just stop. The ones I’ve had have been tasty, but they all have Mildew now. I think I shall try growing dwarf French beans next year.

Karen, this is definitely my final year of growing Tomatoes in the greenhouse. Three different varieties in a big Growbag, they have finally turned red and, like yours, are splitting and soft. Such a disappointment. Luckily there is a nursery nearby, run by a lovely Italian family, who sell their produce of a good mix of Tomato varieties in all shapes and colours, Garlic, Beans etc. so we shall use them next year.

Funny that Shirley cause Rachel has found a local shop with similar and sh3 said there were loads of different tomatoes. So we’re both all set now!

Karen, that's great. Here is the produce on sale today:
Today we have snacking peppers, grapes, beans, basil, apples available as well as our large selection of Heirloom tomatoes, sweet baby plum tomatoes, San marzano tomatoes and large Roma tomatoes.
Wonderful produce from their glasshouses ... :o)

Lovely. I was just saying to Scott, I think I’m done trying to grow veg. It’s been such a waste of money and time this year. You need polytunnels and glasshouses.

That's for sure. I do still miss our allotment at times though! Picking fresh Peas, Sweetcorn, Blackcurrants, Gooseberries ... :o)
