I have a soft spot, Shirley, but I can't say I enjoy their call.

I have to say a hearty AMEN to that, Shirley!

I never used to dislike them it's just that for the last few years they have become much more numerous & now they sit on the railings on the balconies above ours, which juts out about 18 inches from the rest above us, & their dropping constantly fall into our balcony & on my plants! When it rains it means I can't go out on the balcony as it becomes VERY slippery. When it is dry I have to sweep the balcony almost daily to get rid of their dry droppings (egg shells as well!) before I can water my plants.
