Decorative Dahlia Cafe au Lait

I used to have this one Klahanie, it never looked as good as this though..

They are usually more beige colour. It is my favourite "dinner plate" dahlia. There are several decorative and cactus types I like.
Do you grow any dahlias this year Janey?

Yes mine was beige. They're not keen on my garden Klahanie so I dug out lots and gave them away a year or so ago. One I kept is Bishop of Llandaff a red flower with golden centre and I bought a new smaller red one which I've planted in a pot. They make a nice pop of colour now..:)

I love the Bishop of Llandaff dahlia with the red foliage and very bright red flowers. I agree that dahlias are nice plants for this time. I have lots of yellows blooms (Helleniums, Rudbeckias...) this year which I will have to adjust for next year.
