Clematis ‘Nubia’

Clematis ‘Nubia’

Earlier in the year I planted this lovely clematis in my front garden where it performed magnificently until a storm of wind and rain ruined it. I cut it right back to the ground and moved it into the back where to my amazement it started growing back. And now it’s flowering beautifully again. I suppose the lessons are, 1. clems don’t like wind and rain and 2. Cutting them hard back after a disaster in mid summer does them no harm whatsoever! I do feed with liquid fertiliser all summer long.

Gorgeous colour! What a lovely surprise too, after its initial demise!!! Hoping it continues to do well.
I'll take your advice in future, well worth trying !
