Canna Leaf sunshade!

Aren't they just beautiful when the sun is shining through them ! Well..., they look great all the time, but I really, really love them when the light is shining through these huge, colorful leaves ..lol.

So beautiful together.

Ah- one of my favourite exotic plants Lori. This is a lovely photo.

It's wonderful to get praise for a lovely plant which seems to bless the garden bed with it's presence... I'm thrilled with the orange flowers too! The red cannas are in their third season and show no sign of aging or weakening... next season I'm going to plant castor bean nearer the cannas.

Fantastic idea Lori, they will look great together . Can't wait to see a tropical paradise in Canada. It will save you alot of money in the long run too, no need for a vacation...lol ! I was inspired by FourSeasons,early this spring to create a tropical garden,after looking at some of their posts, and it was a real flop...lol, I'll have to post some pics later, just to let newbie gardeners know, not everything turns out right the first time, not to give up, but to keep on trying till you get it right. Or in my case, until you finally get lucky !

you really should take more credit, Flcrazy! Your garden is a wonderland and your "flop" would probably be a success to others...and besides, I'm living proof that sometimes you don't get it right the first time, (and luck is only a tiny portion of the result) LOL. I'll bet you'll have a success story for us next summer!!?
