Those are Agave attenuata 'striped' with Coral Aloe Aloe striata. Bloom for a very long time for an Aloe. 2 months at least. There hundreds of those Aloes planted along the Blvd..

It was done last year Karen after the old greeting was removed. It had a fountain that kids always poured detergent into it. Kids.

It is. They even have a large swath of California poppies. Every year they trim what looks like Buffalo grass...letting those poppies to grow.
