This is my neighbor’s tall (over 20 ft) old dragon tree. It’s very commonly planted here in San Diego, CA. This one has a trunk diameter base of about two feet. It was a very cloudy, hot and humid day thanks to Tropical Storm Alvin’s clouds. Photo taken May 31, 2025.

It’s a good landscape plant, tree.
This dragon tree is even bigger than the Ficus benjamina to the right.

Makes our 20 year old tree look positively tiny! I had never seen a picture of a Dragon Tree this old & big! I've cut down our tree several times over the years & have given away some of the little trees I've grown from the cutting from the branches I removed.

I’m not sure how old this dragon tree is, probably over 30 years, though.
I know it’s an easy plantbto start from cuttings. Here in San Diego you can stick them in the ground.
