What a fantastic find ! I love the way you can see the butterflies wing colors through the transparent cocoon. How long are they in this transparent stage before they open ?

I took this picture and it emerged when I wasn't looking in less than an hour. Wish I got the pics... I saw her on my sand cherry bush a short time later, a lovely female. Hopefully she laid some more eggs in my milkweed patch.
