Garden and Cat

Garden and Cat

Photograph of one half of my garden that looks a little bare, with the BBQ area which my wife hates and wants demolished but which I dream could be like something from Jamie at Home where I can cook Italian sausages and drink copious amounts of red wine.

I like your cat and your Simpsons avatar.

Did you stick the cat there with superglue ???
..or is it an ornament?
It's keeping very still for you.
Pretty garden.

Your cat seems to like the barbecue area, so ~
who wins, your wife or your cat?

Oh, and welcome to GoY. Enjoy.

Hi Terratoonie
Thanks for the feedback.
My Simpsons avatar - Moe - I picked due to one of his better known quotes: "I'm better than dirt - well, most kinds of dirt." which I thought was fitting for a gardening blog.
As for my cat, yes, I was lucky. She was gone a millisecond later....

Welcome,
Can I call you Jim?
Don't let her demolish until you can show her how you can do on the grill.
We recently bought a new one, it doesn't have all the "bells and whistles" but it is a very good quality and easy to use propane grill and I love it, I have even cranked it up just to make grilled sandwiches for lunch on occasion.
Once you let her sit with a glass of wine and serve her tasty little grilled starters while you grill her some steak or salmon with grilled vegies along side she will want to keep it.
Trust me!

Lovely pictures Jim, would like a better one of your cat please. I'm sure she'll sit still for a couple of seconds.
where in Yorkshire do you come from?

Nice garden and cat. Sounds worth keeping the barbie especially after Wohlibul's tempting menu. Perhaps you could invite all your GOY friends after you've got to know us. The travel might be a bit too expensive though, Welcome to GOY. You will find everyone very helpful, even though we have a few crazy moments.

Welcome to GOY. Oh, I hope that you don't have to demolish it! I love all the brinck in the backyard. Just spruce it up a bit to show her how lovely it can be. And like Wohlibuli says, fix her some scrumptious grilled food, some wine/cocktails, music... What's the saying? Food is the way to a man's heart...women too! Plus, we all voted and so it stays :)

Hi Jim - nice to meet you. I'm not into BBQs - but yours is such a good structure, I wonder what your wife would replace it with?

What a sweet kitty...I think you have a wonderful canvas for working your gardening magic in...what would your wife rather have?
